Introduction

Hey, thanks from dropping by to find out more about Blaze Commerce.

Important - WooCommerce Checkout

It's important to make clear up-front that the current release of Blaze Commerce uses the WooCommerce checkout to complete a transaction.

A users will experience the superior performance and user experience of headless commerce for navigating the site, finding products, and adding them to the mini cart, but they must transition to a sub-domain to complete checkout.

For example:

Frontend URL: https://example.com Checkout URL: https://cart.example.com

This is seamless to the user, but at this time Blaze Commerce is not a 'complete' headless solution for Woo.

Why is that, I hear you musing. Well, building an entire headless frontend for Woo is no simple feat. We decided to invest all of our time and focus in getting the frontend right before we tackled the checkout, which is a beast in and of itself.

Headless Woo checkout is in our roadmap though, and we hope to have an initial release in early 2025.

Quick Start Guide

Blaze Commerce has a growing pile of features and plugin compatibilities, but we have a quick start guide to enable you to spin up a headless nextjs frontend to Woo in around 15 minutes. It won't look too pretty, but it'll be fast, and it'll demonstrate the speed and general capabilities of Blaze Commerce.
